Lesson Description

In this episode of UU+ Live Lesson Thursdays, Aldrine is back from touring in Australia and the UK and talks a little bit about using the chords you already know to introduce fingerpicking as a way to move from a beginner to intermediate player. He also talks about playing music for weddings, 7th chords in Hawaiian vamps (in the Key of C, why does the vamp contain a D7 when the chord family only has a Dm in it?), what fingers to use when fingerpicking, using other instrument styles to play the ukulele, and UU+ content while touring.

  1. Good question and answer about the D7 chord in the Hawaiian vamp — I wondered the same thing… now I know.
