Learn to play an easy version of "Wonderful Tonight" by Eric Clapton on Ukulele
On this lesson of Songs Made Easy, you'll learn how to play "Wonderful Tonight" by Eric Clapton. Aldrine teaches you the song in it's original key of G, however he modifies a few of the chords to make the switches easier. He also shows you a simple strumming pattern so you can focus on serenading your special someone, or your pet (we don't judge).
If you want to challenge yourself a bit more, check out our Wonderful Tonight Uke Lesson. Some of the chords are a little tougher, but it's still a beginner lesson and definitely within reach. Aldrine teaches you a more complex strumming pattern that utilizes chunks. He also teaches you that distinct picking riff which will give you a great opportunity to practice your bends.
Wonderful Tonight is one our go to songs on Aloha Friday Jams. You can check out this Jam Replay to play along with Aldrine. He jams the version taught in our Uke Lesson but because it's in the same key, you can still play along with the chords and strumming you learned here.
Stick around for more Songs Made Easy. We'll be streaming a new lesson every Thursday at 2:15 PM (HST). You're more than welcome to tune in LIVE and ask questions in the chat. Next week Thursday, we'll be reviewing and jamming the 3 songs we learned this month.
