Hey UUers!
Good news, everyone! It has been awhile since the last Ukulele Underground give-away contest, so here we go again – This time we are giving you a chance to win a brand new KoAloha KTM-00 Tenor Uke along with a YEAR membership for UU+!
The August 2011 UU “Ambassadors of Ukulele” Contest hopes to inspire everyone to share the joy of ukulele with others, so for this contest, here’s what you have to do:
1. Send an email to ukuleleunderground(at)gmail.com with “Ambassadors of Ukulele Contest” in the Subject line.
2. Explain how you will use your new KoAloha Uke and one year membership to UU+ to spread the joy of ukulele.
Extra points & consideration will be given for creativity, honesty, and enthusiasm!
Alternately, you may nominate another worthy ukulele player by describing what they do to spread the joy of ukulele why they deserve to win the Ambassadors of Ukulele Contest.
One entry per person.
Deadline: August 31st, 2011
So there you have it – go to it, have fun, and good luck!
Aloha,
-UU Staff
I was just wondering, do nominations count towards your entry? Or is it just another single entry? I nominated ๐
Yikes! That is a huge number of essays to read. There are a lot of ukulele ambassadors out there. I guess that is a good thing. Thanks Rayan. ๐
Has the winner been named?
not yet. still have around 500 entries to read through
The competition has come and gone
Yet something seems to be oh so wrong
Sent my entry and long did I wait
Sure a uke would come to me by fate
Though not a uke, not even a word
Was sent by post or even by bird
So wait I must continue to do
And hope the winner is me, not you.
๐
And the winner is…?
Anxiously waiting. Thanks for the contest. ๐
The anticipation is killing me
I want to know, I want to see
If I’m the winner of this fine uke
Suspense enough to make me puke
I’ll hold it in and wait a day
Then it’ll pass or it will spray
I hope the most that it’s the first
For playing uke I have the thirst
Travel and sing while playing a chord
Ukulele Ambassador around the world!
I cant wait!!, I hope I win this, its great!
Ooohh… Glad I found this site when I did. Me wantee (especially with free lessons) Expect my email ๐
OOOOOah this a fine UK!
