Curious about pickup or mic options for an Islander Super Tenor which has bridge pins.

One option that looks great are the KNA Uke pickups but they require a uke with the more common saddle in which you tie the strings on. KNA does, however, make a pickup called the KNA sg-1 (see link below) that slides between the bridge pins and saddle on an acoustic guitar with bridge pins. Curious if anyone has tried this?

Any other suggestions for adding a pickup or mic option?

    Thank you, Doug

I have multiple Kanile’a with Kanile’a pickups – passive … All great… I have also played Kanile’a active – which are also great and discreet….. I also have a couple of MISI under-saddle ( I also opted for the passive) which do nice reproduction. he Kanile’a passive do not require batteries and do have a very strong output signal strength. The MISI get charged in about 2-3 minutes from the jack, can also do this with a 9V battery and they last some months. — I didn’t want any extra weight and wanted to preserve the natural sound and have a Fishman Loudbox mini – so that provides all the pre-amp I need.
