Member3 Times though Margarittaville. Then a 4 time for good measure. #4 today was the best I’ve done so far. I am noticing that my tempo speeds up as the song goes on. May need to break out the metronome.
Practiced Scale A to A on A string
2 times through Yellow Bird just for grins.

Member5 times through Margaritaville. One recording attached.
Lots of improvements for me over 2.5 weeks are demonstrated in this video.
1. Chunking
2. Strumming pattern: Down Chunk Up up Down Up
3. Transition from picking to strumming to picking
4. Singing and strumming at the same time
5. Keep steady tempo throughout songI couldn’t do any of these things 3 weeks ago. I watched many lessons on all 5 topics plus help on live lessons to get there. Oh yeah and practice, practice, practice.
Things we can talk about: D7 chord miss in the middle. Missed transition to picking at the end.

MemberA few times through Yellow Bird
Trying to decide what I want to work on next. I’m thinking multiple strings and pinkey mute so I’m looking at the cheesest song in the world. You know that one about sweet coconut flavored rum drinks. π My wife says I have to practice it while she’s not home. π
Played around with multiple string D and E chord for about half an hour on my tenor. Struggled to press down all three strings with 1st knuckle. Pulled out my grand daughters soprano ukulele and it’s a little easier because the neck is thinner. But, it’s not much easier. However, practicing on the soprano and moving back to the tenor did seem to help on hitting all 3 strings on the tenor.

1 Time through Margarittaville so I won’t unlearn what I’ve learned.
My tenor is on loan and I’m not enjoying my old concert as much. Waiting to get my tenor back. Getting a bit bored with my current lessons so I may mix things up a bit from here.
