    Hey Guys,

great jobs on those songs. We’ll be announcing the winner or winners (wink wink) this week. Also wanted to ask you guys to help and send in suggestions for our next songwriting challenge. Since the next challenge is so different, I made it it’s own thread that you can check out here:

    Secret Santa Songwriting Challenge

The three of us are going to be picking 1 suggestion each to write personal songs for you. Since there aren’t any suggestions yet, it’s guaranteed that you’ll have your song written by one of us. If there are only 3 suggestions by this Thursday, it’s still guaranteed that you’ll get a song, but we won’t know who wrote your song until we play it on the Live Lesson in a few weeks. Suggestions don’t have to be anything complicated (please don’t make it crazy complicated), so please get in that thread and let us know what you would want to hear from us. Also if someone makes their own song using one of the suggestions, we’ll enter them in the giveaway. This is probably going to the last Songwriting challenge of the year, so I’ll make sure the prize is something good. Again, great job on the songs, and thank you to everyone who’s participated in the challenges so far. Hope you guys had a great Thanksgiving, and have an awesome Holiday Season.

    Aloha,
    -Kahai

I’m thankful for my song “Thankful”, but definitely need to work on that left pinky finger.

    Hey Ritesh,

earlier in the Live Lesson Renee asked how to slide chords up and down a fret to make a “bounce” sound, so that’s what we called it.

We’re delaying the deadline of the songwriting challenge to February 13th. Also, in the last live lesson, I mentioned a website I used to generate some chord progressions:
    https://autochords.com/

These chord progressions are pretty generic, but it helped me get out of my writers block. Hopefully it can help you guys too. You guys can use the auto generated progressions, or you can make it an even simpler two chord song. For this challenge, as long as you write in the key of F and use F or Dm, you’re all good. It’s usually helps too if you start off simple and add on more complex ideas. I already had a song ready, but because we delayed the deadline, I’m going to try and polish it.

No bounce or slide, a bit unfinished but deadlines are a great thing..

Wanted to continue experimenting with feel of a song based on scale and pitch. Similar to the song Nakhrewali.

Tired to imagine a theme song for baby yoda who gets into a serious situation and then has a super soup which charges him up.. ?

Since it was my recommendation, I used all chords in the key of F in this short song. Also, challenged myself to play up the neck so I learned all these inversions last night (sorry for the sloppy transitions, but I’ll keep practicing)
