    My name is Eralp

I have just subscribed to UU Underground.

I have been teaching myself how to play the Ukulele by watching various online lessons and recently started going through the lessons here at UU Underground.

Obviously the downside of just watching videos is not being able to get feedback. So where would be the best place of posting videos of myself practicing so I can get some feedback/evaluation from one of the instructors on how I’m playing and on areas I need to improve. Is it somewhere on these forums? Any guidance would be much appreciated.

Apologies if this is already explained somewhere.

    Hey Eralp,

you can post videos to the Student Review Section:

    Student Review

or directly to the Live Lesson Questions Section of the UU+ Forum:

    Live Lesson Questions

We usually watch these videos, and give feedback on the Thursday Live Lesson Podcast. Here is the last one where we gave some feedback:

TLL Podcast #107 – Do Straps Make the Player?

You can watch the podcast live on Thursdays at 1 pm Hawaii Standard Time, but we also post the replays on Fridays if you miss it live.

We also have 1-on-1 Coaching Sessions on Thursday at 2:20 pm Hawaii Time (right after the podcast). These are zoom rooms where UU+ members take turns asking Aldrine questions. If you have a webcam, you can always join, and ask Aldrine for feedback. If you want to join a session, just be logged in to your account, at that time, and you should see an orange banner at the top of the screen asking you to join. You can also join a session just to hang out, and check out what other people are working on. Here are some recordings of past sessions if you want to get a feel for it:

You can also book a Private Lesson with Aldrine where I’m sure he would be more than happy to give you some feedback:

I hope that helps. If you need anything else, you can always post questions to the forum, or send it to us directly by pressing the green chat button in the lower right hand corner:

    Thanks Kahai 🙂
