I struggle listening to the artist and learning the words of the song and the chords and the playing and the singing.

What is the smart way to do this? What headphones, software etc should I use.

I am working on the song Surf. I actually created a backing track using UkuleleSession Band apple app.
It is is ok, but I don’t know what to do with it.

I can strum along, but then I don’t have the verses etc.

I thought I could record myself singing an then merge the backing track together to have one file
and then play my chords against it. Does this sound logical?

I want to learn the song as a singer and a player. I am taking up too much time.

Any suggestions for headphones or software would be great. I have a Windows machine and a old Ipad.
