Learn to play "Fallin'" by Alicia Keys on the Ukulele
On this Songs Made Easy, we're teaching you how to play Fallin' by Alicia Keys. This song uses just 2 chords! As far as chord progressions go, it doesn't get much easier than this. The original recording of this song is in the key of Em, but to make the chord switches a lot easier, Aldrine teaches you how to play it in the key of Dm.
In last week's lesson (where we covered Happy Birthday) we ventured into a new time signature, this song also uses a different time signature of 6/8. If you're unfamiliar with 3/4 or time signatures in general, don't fret. Aldrine covers everything you need to know.
If you're a fan of Alicia Keys, be sure to check out our Uke Lesson: If I Ain't Got You. Staying truer to the original, Aldrine teaches you how to mimic those distinct piano arpeggios with some quick fingerpicking. It's a beginner lesson, but it does call for barre chords and some fast chord changes, all doable with extra practice.
