Learn to play an easy version of "Koke'e" by Dennis Kamakahi on Ukulele
This time on Songs Made Easy, you'll learn how to play "Koke'e" by Grammy award winner Dennis Kamakahi. This song is actually about a gorgeous state park located high in the mountains on our home island of Kauai. Aldrine teaches you how to play this song in the key of G, using just 3 easy chords. He shows you how to play a simplified strumming pattern, and walks you through the different chord patterns.
We recently released a beginner Uke Lesson on Koke'e. So if you want to test yourself with something slightly more challenging, check it out HERE. It's in the key of D so the chords are fairly simple, and it still relies on only 3 chords total. The strumming pattern is more intricate but it's still manageable, and Aldrine walks you through exactly how to play it. He also shows you a beautiful picking pattern from Pure Heart's cover of the song.
