We have another Whiteboard Request for our UUser. Aldrine teaches you an old tune that became a classic rock song called "House of the Rising Sun" as done by The Animals. This song uses a 6/8 time signature and a fairly simple strumming pattern. With 5 basic chords, and 2 chords progressions, you can be strumming along with The Animals in no time. For those who want spice up the song and add that authentic feel, Aldrine teaches you a modified fingerpicking pattern that closely emulates that memorable fingerpicking of the guitar.

Techniques Used in Lesson:

  1. What fun that was. Loved trying something different with the picking pattern. I’ve always played 6/8 like it was (2) 3/4’s. Not anymore. Thanks

  2. Pinkey curled up (according to form) strum down . . . how clever! I was questioning your form according to others i have seen on the internet. Now I get it. My $30 this month was well spent.

  3. I was going to do this song for this weeks Open Mic with a simple pick pattern of C, G, E, A E, C but I’m now going to practice your version and hopefully have it ready for next months Open Mic absolutely love this song. Thank You as always, Rock on and Inner Peace to you all. UU+
