Hey UUers!

It's the most wonderful time of the year for ukulele & have we got a LOT of holiday goodness in store for you to practice & to keep those ukulele playing fingers nice and toasty! In the next couple weeks, we'll have a total of 4 seasonal songs for you to learn - including a new UU+ Solo song, a Whiteboard Request lesson, and even Matt Dahlberg will chime in with a solo tutorial of his own!

But first up, here's a very special episode of Uke Lessons to kick it off right. Learn the chords, strumming pattern, and picking to Mele Kalikimaka, the Hawaiian Christmas song made famous by many artists including Bing Crosby and featured on movies such as L.A. Confidential and National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation.

Be sure to play along with the Play-Along video and stay tuned right here for more fun Christmas tutorials coming up soon! And if you're eager to jump right into the holiday spirit, here's a list of all our past December songs for your learning pleasure:

Uke Lesson - The Christmas Song (Nat King Cole)
UU+ Solos - The Christmas Song (Solo Arrangement)
Uke Lesson - Jingle Bell Rock (Bobby Helms)
UU+ Solos - Jingle Bell Rock (Solo Arrangement)

Uke Lesson - What Child Is This? (Solo Arrangement)

  1. Thank you so very much for giving us all these wonderful Christmas songs to learn. I can’t wait to get started. Maybe I’ll be able to play them all by Christmas – oh, next Christmas I should have said. 🙂 I know all our countries have special Christmas Carols but maybe you can include an Australian one next year. I promise you, they are quite different!

  2. Dear Aldrine and UU people
Thank you very much for this Lesson. Right now we work on this X-mas piece with our Uke Teacher in Germany.
But to have this picking is some thing special makes me probable, maybe (practising will be the key, for sure) to a soloist in our group:–)) Hehe
Mele Kalikimaka a me Hauoli Makahiki hou
    Aloha Ingeborg
