    Great interview with the zany Bill Collings! I just got home from the NAMM show, and saw and played all of Bill’s ukes. The archtop uke was the most exciting instrument I saw at the show, and there were some absolutely fabulous things there. I am now the proud owner of that nice all mahogany model UT-1, #286, that Bill showed us in this video. Too much fun!!!

    I had was critical to guitar makers jumping on the ukulele bandwagon, but Bil Collings has changed my mind. These ukuleles are some of the most beautiful instruments I have ever seen.

    I bought a mahogany UT-1 about a month ago and it’s a beautiful instrument with an incredible dark tone They’re very lightly built. . . it feels alive in my hands.
