A laminate soprano for $399? No way. Won’t be on my list. I’d like to try the cherry and the maple though.

Did you see the list price of the cherry uke? ($1999)!
I’d have one of Chuck Moore’s long before a Martin cherry uke.

The list on the laminate isn’t what it’s going to cost at most retailers. It might well be an improvement over some of their current offerings.

Aldrine, you’re fantastic at interviewing and really know how to sell the product better than some of these reps.
    Well done.

I’ve seen the Cherry for $1300, but I’m getting my second Kepasa built the way I want it for less than a grand…. I will admit the inlay on the fretboard looked great.

The Martin “Laminate” from what Chris was explaining to me is not like the ply / veneer that most laminate ukes (or guitars) are made of.

Martin’s “High Pressure Laminate” is actually a wood byproduct that is mixed with resins and put under immense pressure – the product is definitely not like any laminate ply. It has more of a plastic-like feel, but the sound of the ukulele is actually very good. If you get a chance, try one – it’s a pretty accurate Martin sound for a fraction of the cost.
