When we started our Master Class series, our goal was to bring you the BEST ukulele players and teachers in the world and get them to spill the beans on their secrets to help you become a better player. Today you are in for a treat as we not only have someone who is not only a great player, but also a great teacher of the ukulele. We are honored to share with you an Master Class session with Bruce Shimabukuro (Jake Shimabukuro’s Brother). In this jam packed 4 video course, Bruce teaches you what he considers the most important aspect of playing the ukulele, achieving good sound from your ukulele.

The first two videos he’ll show you how to achieve good tone from your picking with a technique called the REST stroke. This is the exact same technique his brother Jake uses in his style of play. In the second half of his class, Bruce teaches you how to add emotion to your strumming. You’ll learn the tricks he and his brother use to not only play songs but express themselves full through their playing.
