Default Nick Lowe -- "I Read a Lot"

"I Read a Lot" is a new song that Nick Lowe sang on his most recent tour, but which isn't on an album. I am a sucker for his sad, pretty songs, and this one is no exception. Can anyone here help with the chords (and strumming pattern)?

Here's a link to him playing it in concert on solo acoustic guitar. (The song starts a few minutes in): Link

Here are the lyrics, as least as understood by me:

"I READ A LOT" by NICK LOWE

    I read a lot, nowadays
Much more than before you left me high and dry
    in a loveless land
with nothing but time on my hands

I read a lot, not just magazines
But other more serious things, to get me through the day
    Nighttime too
Whilst wondering how in the world to go on without you

“Lonely” isn’t the word for me now
    “Blue” doesn’t describe it somehow

    I read a lot, I can’t put it down
While others are painting the town, you’ll find me in a world
    Of fantasy.
    Population: one. That’s me

So if you ask me how I stop
Contemplating what I now have not
    I’ll reply
    I read a lot

Two weeks later, bump. (Last one!). In case it helps, this should take you to a video of Lowe singing "I read a lot" on Austin City Limits: http://video.tiscali.it/canali/truveo/676999133.html and click here for a list of other videos of him playing the song
