This week’s MVOW is provided by watchmeuke. We always love it when our peeps cover songs that are not typical for the uke. This is a great example of taking a great hip hop song by Lupe Fiasco and injecting some hot uke lovin. Keep it up guys. You make us proud.

For those of you who wanted t-shirts, we have a order form to the right of this post. Every sale goes to helping keep this site and its content free for your viewing pleasure. Whether you order something or not we truly appreciate all of your support. Thank you all for taking the time to check out the site. It humbles us daily and makes us feel like we are doing something right.

Super Duper Late posting of the MVOW. For shame Rayan. This week we’re featuring one of our original forum members cMejilla from Philly PA and his original song Moonlit

News and Notes

The April “Oh the Places Uke Will Go” contest has officially come to a close. Thank you to all the people who took the time to create entries. We thought it would be cool to see where everyone was from, and you guys did not disappoint. Now the 3 UU dudes have the arduous task of choosing the winner. It’s not going to be easy and it may take us a while but we will be sure to keep everyone informed. Once again thank you to everyone who entered.

In other news, UU would like to welcome our newest sponsor Bounty Music! Bounty has retail stores on the islands of Kaua’i and Maui that are chock full of ukes. Their domain for their online store is ukes.com if you needed more hints to what they specialize in. Please check out their website, you may see something that you like.

This week’s member video of the week comes from russ_buss in San Francisco California. Aldrine and I really liked this video. There are so many great videos posted daily in the forums, we may need to create a new show so we can highlight more than one a week.

There is just one more week to get your entries in for the “Oh the Places Uke Can Go” contest. Entires can be found here. One of them will win the Kala Tenor ukulele. It could be you! Get your entry in before April 30th.

This week we’re featuring Keonikapila’s version of the Family Guy theme song on the ukulele. He was nice enough to tab it out for those who want to learn it. You can find the tabs here.

Also be sure to check out Puremarkska’s entry into the Chris Cendana Cover me contest. It is hilarious.
