<p><strong>Hey UUers!</strong></p>
<p><strong>So last month</strong> (July 2010) we held the<a href="http://www.ukuleleunderground.com/forum/showthread.php?32520-Win-an-Eleuke-The-Official-Eleuke-quot-Uke-Rock!-quot-Give-Away-Contest!" target="_blank"> <strong>Eleuke &#8220;Uke Rock!&#8221; Ukulele Contest</strong></a> where we asked you to submit a video of any rock-related song played on the ukulele for a chance to <strong>win one of FOUR Eleuke</strong> Ukuleles! </p>
<p>The judges from <a href="http://www.eleukeusa.com/" target="_blank">EleukeUSA</a> and UU watched, debated, and watched again all of the amazingly sweet entries to the contest and have finally decided on the winners. Got a question about this episode? Post it <a href="http://www.ukuleleunderground.com/forum/showthread.php?32065-Uke-Minutes-91-Added-Octave-Chord-Inversions" target="_blank">HERE</a>!</p>
<p><strong>Hey UUers!</strong></p>
<p><strong>Here&#8217;s a great way to add</strong> a little variation to your chords! A while back on <strong>Uke Minutes</strong>, we taught you about <a href="http://ukuleleunderground.com/2010/01/30/uke-minutes-76-alternate-chord-position-exercises/">Alternate Chord Positions</a>, so when you are playing with others, you can play the same chord but in a higher register. With <strong>Added Octave Chord Inversions</strong>, you can <strong>quickly add a higher note</strong> in the same key without having to change your current chord position! <strong>Check it out</strong> and let us know what you think!</p>
<p><strong>Also</strong>, this month we&#8217;re giving away one of the most <strong>amazing custom ukuleles</strong> we&#8217;ve ever gotten! It&#8217;s a special, one of a kind, <strong>UU-branded Kanilea Tenor Ukulele</strong> from the very cool people over at <a href="http://www.kanileaukulele.com" target="_blank">Kanile&#8217;a Ukulele</a>.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.ukuleleunderground.com/forum/showthread.php?31586-Win-a-Kanile-a!-Official-Kanile-a-UU-quot-Spread-the-Aloha-quot-Ukulele-Give-Away-Contest!" target="_blank"><img class="aligncenter size-medium wp-image-2917" title="Kanilea &quot;Spread the Aloha&quot; Give-Away Contest" src="http://ukuleleunderground.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/06/Kanilea-Banner-300x128.jpg" alt="" width="300" height="128" /></a></p>
<p><strong>And it could be yours</strong>! Click on the <a href="http://www.ukuleleunderground.com/forum/showthread.php?31586-Win-a-Kanile-a!-Official-Kanile-a-UU-quot-Spread-the-Aloha-quot-Ukulele-Give-Away-Contest!" target="_blank">Official Contest Thread</a> to read the rules on how to enter and win. This contest will NOT be judged on skill. It WILL be judged on <strong>creativity</strong>, <strong>originality</strong>, and how you <strong>Spread Aloha using your ukulele</strong>. Good luck!</p>
<p>Hope you&#8217;re spending your <strong>summertime Saturday</strong> spread out by the sea, strumming away, &amp; sippin&#8217; smoothies! (Or just chillin&#8217; with us in the <a href="http://www.ukuleleunderground.com/forum" target="_blank">Forum</a>. Either way, it&#8217;s all good.) Rock on.</p>

<p><strong>Alright guys</strong>, it&#8217;s waaay overdue, but we have it right here! <strong>The Winner of the Ukulele Underground &#8220;All Things Reggae&#8221;</strong> ukulele give-away video contest &#8230; sponsored by <strong>Mainland Ukes</strong> &#8230; and winner of the brand new <strong>Concert Mahogany Mainland Ukulele </strong>(+ hardshell tweed case) is &#8230;</p>

<p><strong>Congrats!</strong> Be sure to congratulate the winners the next time you see them! A gigantic <strong>MAHALO</strong> to the over 100 contestants who submitted more than <strong>150 absolutely amazing entries</strong> for this contest. There were so many uke players that the uke could have easily been awarded to, but unfortunately, there can only be one video winner. (Seriously, if we could give all of the contestants a uke, we definitely would). </p>
<p>If you didn&#8217;t win this time, don&#8217;t fret &#8211; <strong>we&#8217;ve got many more ukulele give-away contests to come!</strong> Keep strummin&#8217; UUers. The world is a big place, and we&#8217;ve still got a lot of ukulele love to spread around.</p>
<p><strong>Aloha,</strong><br />
