Even though an a note on a guitar is the same as an a note on a ukulele, the normal guitar tuning is in a different key than standard ukulele tuning.
The normal uke tuning of GCEA is a c6 chord. The standard guitar tuning is EADGBE, which would be some sort of g chord (can a guitar player fill me in here? I don’t play guitar).
As a result, tabs and finger positions need to be adjusted. Chord shapes are the same (with the added two strings on guitar obviously), but need to be dropped seven, or raised five frets. On a ukulele, it’s the opposite. Chords need to be raised seven frets, or dropped five frets.
I hope this clears up the issue a bit.
isnt it uke minutes 26? not 25? look back on it. (just some thoughts to keep your geises site organized) what is geises?!
