Ok. Last month on the UU Forum, member GrumpyCoyote came up with a truly brilliant (and amazingly generous) concept: a “Bring the Song” CD Challenge.
Each month, ukulele players can submit one original song. At the end of 12 months, everyone will vote on their favorite song for each month, and Grumpy will pay to have the selected songs produced on a CD!
Within the scant two weeks that the contest has been running, there have been over 40 entries! The contest has inspired many uke players who had never written a song before to come up with some truly amazing works of art.
