Thanks to everybody who tried to tune in. We tried. There was just not enough bandwidth to stream that much noise there. Every motion, every noise ads to the load of the stream and in the end, it was just too much to transmit. Fortunately, Aaron was there filming most of it, so we’ll through that video up here as soon as it’s edited. The last live stream we did was in a semi-controlled environment so we know that next time we try it to do it from someplace like that again. We’ll try to make it a regular thing and give everybody more of a heads up.

Once again, I apologize for the crappy stream, to make up for it, we’ll be announcing something pretty awesome tomorrow night.

The Ukulele Underground staff will be at Diamond Head Cove on Thursday January 17, 2008. Ryan, Aaron and I will be there to meet and greet with everyone. Also, Ryan and I will play an hour set before the main entertainment Kupa’aina plays for the rest of the night. Joining us on stage will be Danyo Cummings so it’s looking up to be quite a show indeed.

So all the Ukulele Underground members on Oahu can come and chill out with us. Talk story and music. Perhaps maybe even jam some tunes while we’re at it.

In this very first episode of Uke Minutes, Aldrine explains some common accessories that may come in handy for ukulele players.

After this week, UU will go back to releasing videos on a normal schedule, with new video lessons coming out every 1st week of the month and Uke Minutes coming out every Monday. The rest of the week we have some other things in mind so be sure to either subscribe to our feed in the column to the right, or check back daily.

A big thank you goes out to our forum member E-Lo for telling us about some major problems with our website in Internet Explorer (a.k.a. my nemesis). It was a major boo boo on my behalf not to test in IE before launching. I think it should be fixed now but if anyone else is having problems with the website please let us know. That was kind of embarrassing for me to have our broken website up for a whole day.
